Untrapped Solutions was founded out of a deep love for the outdoors and travel. With nearly 15 years of experience in the ski industry, I had the privilege of visiting many dream destinations. However, the increasing cost of living and housing in these areas, particularly in Mount Hood, Oregon, made long-term stays financially challenging. It became clear to me that in order to continue enjoying these special locations, a significant change was necessary.

In 2016, I purchased my first van and transformed it into a functional living space, enabling me to live rent-free and fully off the grid. I spent almost a year living in the van, during which I saved enough to rent a small house with some friends. Throughout this period, the van attracted considerable interest, and I noticed genuine enthusiasm for the concept. After making further enhancements, I listed the van for sale and was pleasantly surprised when it sold in just three days. This experience illuminated the potential for a new business venture—one that I could truly take pride in.

Drawing from my diverse experiences and skills acquired throughout my career in the ski industry, I decided to focus on van building as my primary endeavor. It brings me immense joy to collaborate with individuals on their van projects, ensuring that each build facilitates unique experiences in the great outdoors.

Fast forward to 2020, Untrapped Solutions established its permanent base in Bend, Oregon—a location renowned for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant outdoor culture. This move not only solidified our commitment to crafting high-quality van builds but also positioned Untrapped Solutions in a community that shares our passion for adventure and exploration.
